About Me

Hello, I’m Armando, and my passion for photography started in the vibrant landscapes of El Salvador, Central America, where my journey first took root. From the tender moments in the 1970s when my father guided me through adjusting our camera lens, to becoming an award-winning landscape photographer and blending it with a career in graphic and web design, photography has been a lifelong companion. 

Arriving at Chapter 62

I’ve had the incredible opportunity to work with a variety of organisations, from small businesses like Treasures of the Earth, Nevis Bakery to major players like Warner Bros. This journey has allowed me to contribute to memorable projects such as Braveheart, The Highlander, and Harry Potter, as well as a delightful series for Scottish Television called Hamish McBeth. Each experience has been special, introducing me to a mix of famous faces and everyday heroes.

Life is truly about more than just work! I find immense joy in giving back to my community in Lochaber, where I help others reach their aspirations through mentoring. Currently, I volunteer as a mentor with LochaberHOPE and MCR-Pathways, and I can say it’s one of the most fulfilling experiences I’ve ever had. Being able to support others on their journeys is so rewarding. I’ve also gotten involved with organisations like the Rotary Club of Lochaber, which allows me to connect with even more amazing individuals in our community.
